Ամփոփում:The main objective of this research investigation was to improve the proprioception in young athletes of the ‘RHINOS’ basketball academy in the U-15 and U-17 categories. The main objective was to demonstrate the effects of training with proprioception exercises (mobility, balance, strength and reaction) in the strengthening of the ankle in young people who practice basketball during 12 weeks of intervention versus a control group, The population in which the research was carried out was the RHINOS basketball academy in Riobamba, which has the categories U-10, U-13, U-15, U-17 and open category or older, with a total population of 55 athletes, the type of research that was carried out is experimental since it allowed the inclusion of time series studies, in which the effects before and after the introduction of an intervention of proprioceptive exercises for ankle strengthening were observed. The proposal includes specific training sessions addressing strength, power, flexibility and balance. The importance of physical abilities, periodic pre-post assessment and specific training in basketball is highlighted. Furthermore, the relevance of determining factors such as dorsiflexion and power. The assessment of basketball players is presented as a continuous and dynamic process. The importance of planning and assessment in basketball training is underlined. In conclusion, this study has shown that a training program focusing on proprioception exercises, designed to improve mobility, balance, strength and reaction, has a significant impact on strengthening the ankle in young basketball players.
