| Resumo: | The present degree work with the theme: Characterization of hypertensive disorders and their complications in adult pregnant women. At Hospital Provincial General Docente Riobamba, 2019-2020, aims to identify risk factors, symptoms and very important alarm signs, in order to provide timely care to pregnant women and to know the preventive measures that should be considered according to the diagnosis of patients, evaluating the complications they present according to the number of gestations, controls, gestational age, personal and family history, among others. This is a quantitative study, since the statistical records made possible to identify the pregnant women who presented hypertensive disorders in the review of the clinical histories of the study site. In addition, it is descriptive, since it allows the characterization of hypertensive disorders to be investigated, and cross-sectional because it was carried out in a specific period of time, without considering data prior to the investigation. In the present study, we worked with a total of 175 pregnant women of adult age between 20 and 59 who were attended at the Hospital Provincial General Docente Riobamba, some of them had hypertensive disorders, therefore, they represent the study population in this health center. The data were taken from a database registered and compiled at the statistics area of the Hospital Provincial General Docente de Riobamba 2019-2020. Preeclampsia without signs of severity, preeclampsia with signs of severity and gestational hypertension were identified. |
