| description | This research work was carried out in response to the problem called “Poor tourist services of the Penipe canton, province of Chimborazo”, in order to contribute to the tourism development of the canton and its parishes. The independent variable of the investigation is the quality and its dimensions are: The expectations, wishes and perceptions of the tourist. While the dependent variable are tourism services and their dimensions are: Physical facilities, intangible aspects and human talent. The main objective of the research is to evaluate the influence of quality in tourist services of the Penipe canton province of Chimborazo, through three specific objectives: to analyze the influence of expectations, desires and perceptions against the tourist services of the canton. The research is exploratory, descriptive and explanatory, as for the research approach it is mixed (quantitative and qualitative), because it meets the objectives set, the research is non-experimental, correlational and cross-sectional. It is composed of two phases: In the first phase, the sample size is determined, the same one that was randomly selected is 170 national tourists over 18 years of age. In the second phase, the population of 32 collaborators belonging to seven tourist establishments in the canton was taken. To verify the reliability and validity of the instruments, experts were chosen according to their academic background and their knowledge regarding quality and tourist services. When testing the hypothesis, it was demonstrated that the client's expectations influence the tourist services of the Penipe canton, province of Chimborazo. |

When testing the hypothesis, it was demonstrated that the client's expectations influence the tourist services of the Penipe canton, province of Chimborazo.El presente trabajo investigativo se desarrolló en respuesta a la problemática denominada “Deficientes servicios turísticos del cantón Penipe, provincia de Chimborazo”, con el fin de contribuir al desarrollo turístico del cantón y sus parroquias. La variable independiente de la investigación es la calidad y sus dimensiones son: Las expectativas, los deseos y las percepciones del turista. Mientras que la variable dependiente son los servicios turísticos y sus dimensiones son: Las instalaciones físicas, los aspectos intangibles y el talento humano. El principal objetivo de la investigación es evaluar la influencia de la calidad en los servicios turísticos del cantón Penipe provincia de Chimborazo, a través de tres objetivos específicos: analizar la influencia de las expectativas, los deseos y las percepciones frente a los servicios turísticos del cantón. La investigación es exploratoria, descriptiva y explicativa, en cuanto al enfoque de investigación es mixto (cuantitativo y cualitativo), debido a que atiende a los objetivos planteados, la investigación es de diseño no experimental, correlacional y de corte transversal. Está compuesto de dos fases: En la primera fase, se determina el tamaño de la muestra, la misma que se seleccionó de forma aleatoria es de 170 turistas nacionales mayores de 18 años. En la segunda fase, se tomó la población de 32 colaboradores que pertenecen a siete establecimientos turísticos del cantón. Para comprobar la confiablidad y validez de los instrumentos, fueron elegidos expertos de acuerdo a su formación académica y sus conocimientos en lo que respecta a la calidad y los servicios turísticos.
