Streszczenie: | The purpose of the research is to implement a Dental Biosafety manual at the University National of Chimborazo. The design of this research was carried out based on a correlational, descriptive and exploratory study combined with methodological resources such as the survey and observation, carried out on one hundred and thirty students legally enrolled in dental specialty clinics I-II-III-IV, without contact and direct intervention, of which it is shown that, in clinic I, they are more aware when taking biosafety measures during operational activities, where splashes, sprays and generation of aerosols are expected, corresponding to 38% of affirmations, contrary to clinic II which maintains low levels of professional safety corresponding to 12%, this due to the lack of knowledge and documentary tools that guide medical work, in the same way the majority percentage is found in female people who do use biosecurity measures such as disposable hat, mask, protective glasses, long-sleeved apron, hand washing, disinfection of materials, and placing waste in their respective containers. When analyzing what types of protocols the students use and what are the biosafety regulations that apply in the development of activities of the Dental Care Unit, the empirical use of personal protection supplements was evidenced, in addition to presenting the lack of a biosafety manual with specific indications for each procedure, making professional medical practice difficult. |
