Propuesta de pertinencia de la carrera de Licenciatura en Educación Básica, de la Facultad de Ciencias de la Educación, de la Universidad Nacional de Chimborazo. Periodo académico 2023-1s

The current research project aims to analyze the proposal of relevance, the professional profile, competencies, and development trends at the National University of Chimborazo, specifically of the bachelor’s degree in Basic Education because it has been in effect for four years. This research is supported by various sources of bibliographic and documentary information; in addition, it has the personal contributions of the researchers through the development of a professional profile to provide recommendations or aspects that the career can improve. The implemented methodology had a quantitative approach; the survey technique was used with its instrument the questionnaire of 16 questions, which were directed to the graduated students and the various semesters of the bachelor’s degree in Basic Education, giving a total of 195 in order to obtain numerical data referring to the quantitative approach, these contributions helped determine characteristics that a professional should have. The relevance proposal helps the bachelor’s degree in Basic Education because, through the instruments presented, the shortcomings or weaknesses were known, which is a positive factor for improving the professional profile and providing society with efficient, capable professionals to relate to society, innovative, investigative, and inclusive professionals in all areas where they are found.
