Afegir etiqueta | Sumari: | The purpose of the present study was to determine the relationship between dental fluorosis and IQ. For this we examined 55 children who underwent the intraoral examination to determine the degree of dental fluorosis according to the Deam index. Intelligence tests were also performed to measure the IQ using the Raven colored matrix test. Finally, the relationship between dental fluorosis and the IQ of the children of the San Gerardo school was made using the Chi Square test. We obtained a value of 16.033 with a level of significance of 0.001, this means that: there is a highly significant association between dental fluorosis and IQ. The findings of this study indicate that the IQ of children with dental fluorosis were significantly lower than those without fluorosis. |
