Descripció
Sumari:DIABETES MELLITUS is characterized by chronic hyperglycemia and inadequate carbohydrate metabolism, lipids and proteins that are caused by partial or complete insulin deficiency. The objective of this work is to demonstrate the incidence of the different causal factors associated with the development of DIABETES MELLITUS TYPE 2, information is obtained through statistical data and review of medical records at the IESS Ambato General Hospital. A descriptive, transversal and retrospective work was carried out on 850 patients between 45 and 75 years of age, who were admitted to the IESS Ambato general hospital. Sex, age, lifestyle, body mass index, diet, high blood pressure were recorded, the result shows us that the average age at which the MELLITUS TYPE 2 DIABETES most frequently occurs is 50-60 years, with Prevalence in women due to increased risk directly proportional to age, obesity, lifestyle, which are the important causal factors of the patients studied.
