Estrategias de enfermería para la prevención de la transmisión del COVID - 19

ABSTRACT This research aimed to determine the nursing strategies for the prevention of the transmission of COVID-19, as mitigation measures within the epidemiological control plans proposed from a nursing approach to the current situation. The pandemic represents a risk to public health due to its impacts on the increase in mortality and mitigating frequencies of contagion, which put the capacities of healthcare facilities in decline. Undoubtedly, the disease has posed challenges that have limited worldwide the ability to have a life without risks; in this sense, considering there is no specific treatment Options for disease, it is really important to take measures to avoid contagion. A bibliographic review was developed through documents published in electronic databases on sites related to health topics such as: Google Academic, SciELO, ELSEVIER, REV EXP MED and visits to official websites of the World Health Organization, Pan American Organization of the Health and Ministry of Public Health of Ecuador. As results, it was determined that Health Systems and Primary Healthcare are fundamental tools to promote strategies that stop the dissipation of the virus. The authors agree that the use of a mask, hand washing, social distancing, definition of spaces for infected patients, training for health personnel, epidemiological surveillance systems, education for the population, have been effective in mitigating the impact and complications of the disease. SARS-COV-2. There is no doubt that nursing actions are focused on safeguarding health security through health promotion and disease prevention.
