Description
Summary:This thesis examines the problems caused by Tena's urban expansion in the city center, in the central sector neighborhood, and in the Bellavista high-rise district, based on several authors' graphic analyses and urban concepts, arguing the importance of a phased urban planning that leads to a combination of the natural and the built landscape, parameters for generating a compact city are determined. The spatial and environmental degradation of the center of Tena due to the crossing of part of the Tena River has inspired an urban planning proposal that integrates the natural and the architectural. Thus, the project becomes a planning tool that promotes project strategies derived from the study of the natural landscape, which is the structural tool of the project. The qualitative analysis of the results and the in-depth discussion will provide exciting conclusions and recommendations on the importance of valuing the natural landscape as a constitutive element for architecture, urban planning and design, production economy, and local culture to create a balanced space between the urban and the natural and to harmonize different periods against landscape fragmentation and degradation. Keywords: Urban expansion, natural landscape, urban landscape, strategies, built landscape.
