| Shrnutí: | Breast cancer is an oncological pathology of high prevalence and emotional charge, whose impact transcends the physical, profoundly affecting the psycho-emotional dimensions of the patient. Therefore, the general objective of this research is to describe psychological support strategies aimed at patients with breast cancer. The methodology of this research consists of a documentary, descriptive and cross-sectional bibliographic review The information was collected through scientific and academic databases of national and international recognition, such as: Scopus, Scielo, Dialnet, Redalyc, Google Scholar, university repositories and official pages of organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO), American Psychiatric Association (APA) and Ministry of Public Health of Ecuador (MSP). This literature review emphasizes that psychological support strategies significantly promote adherence to treatment, emotional regulation and improvement in quality of life, the most commonly used nursing interventions include active listening, emotional education, music therapy, art therapies, positive self-affirmations, playful activities, and relaxation techniques, being tools that favor resilient management in the face of stress and anxiety associated with the oncological process. Multiple obstacles were identified that hindered the effective development of psychological support strategies, including a lack of knowledge about the emotional manifestations associated with the disease, a lack of specific protocols, and limitations in establishing a solid therapeutic relationship between patient and nurse. Additionally, the inadequate training of nursing staff in the psychological approach has a direct impact on the quality of care provided, thereby reducing the effectiveness of interventions. Likewise, the review shows a scarce recent scientific production focused on this topic within the field of nursing, which limits the development of contextualized and sustainable approaches to the psycho-emotional challenges of breast cancer. |
