Zusammenfassung:ABSTRACT: This research analyzes the representation of children and adolescents in the discourse of the print media: the case of the newspaper La Prensa in the period February - December 2021, for which a total of 120 publications related to children and adolescents were analyzed. The methodology used in the research is qualitative-quantitative, the techniques used were the bibliographic review, the content analysis where a matrix of analysis was carried out in which the headlines, location within the issue, location of each publication, newsworthiness criteria, thematic line of the media, sources of information, contrasting sources, genres of photography, intentionality of the headline and violation of rights in the media were studied. For the interviews, a semi-structured matrix was used to record the contributions of the editor-in-chief of La Prensa newspaper, a specialist in children's and adolescents' rights and an academic journalist. The results showed that the media does not address all the problems of children and adolescents, in addition, it was found that there is no follow-up to the news, there is no in-depth journalism because they do not provide figures that allow knowing the reality of the problems, due to the lack of a journalist specialized in the area.
