| Тойм: | This research aimed to compare two alloys, the first one cobalt chromium and the second one nickel chromium, both at different sandblasting forces in order to determine the level of cracking. An in vitro, descriptive, quasi-experimental and cross-sectional study was carried out. The technique used for data collection was observation and its instrument the checklist. The use of an electron microscope was required to visualize the formation of cracks in the alloy. The study population consisted of 40 chromium samples, which were divided into two groups, 20 cobalt chromium samples and 20 nickel chromium ones, both of them had a sandblasting process with aluminum oxide at 60 um and 120 um. There were statistically significant differences between the distribution of the number of cracks and alloys sandblasted and without sandblasting (p = 0.00). In addition, the distribution of the number of cracks is the same between cobalt chromium and nickel cobalt alloys blasted at different forces (60 um-120 um) (p = 0.529; p = 0.123), so, there were no statistically significant differences between the indicated samples. I was concluded that the sandblasting process was essential to execute it because this provides improvement in the structure of the alloy by wearing away the cracking process to which it is commonly exposed. |
