| Sumari: | The research developed the game as a strategy for the maturation of basic functions in the initial sublevel II of the "Benjamín Franklin Basic Education School", located in the Riobamba canton, Chimborazo province, has the purpose of analyzing the development of basic functions in children from 4 to 5 years old. The methodology used was based on a qualitative and quantitative approach, with a non-experimental and cross-sectional descriptive design. This study was carried out on-site and worked with the entire population, without the need for sampling. An observation sheet was used as a data collection instrument. The results obtained were analyzed using tables and statistical graphs, which allowed us to conclude that the game is an effective strategy to improve the maturation of basic functions in children in the initial level II. It is important to recognize that theory and practice are a good complement in the learning of infants. The development of playful strategies that include specific exercises can help children improve their skills, thus facilitating a significant development in the maturity of their basic functions |
