إضافة وسم | الملخص: | ABSTRACT Caregiver syndrome is the physical and emotional exhaustion that a person who is dedicated to caring for another with some type of dependency presents. In this research, Autism Spectrum Disorder people caregivers are described in a particular way, this life condition presents alterations in understanding or expressive language, in communication, in social relationships and in repetitive and stereotyped behaviors It also presents comorbidity with other disorders such as mental retardation and epilepsies in a very narrow way. It is a real challenge for autism spectrum caregivers, they usually are parents or relatives to deal with the alterations of their children, while waiting for a diagnosis, which is very time-consuming and expensive, as well as being confusing because it is a spectral condition. The objective of the research was to contrast information on the caregiver syndrome and the autism spectrum, according to the authors consulted. A bibliographic review was carried out for this purpose, the study population is made up of 1255 documents published between 2015 and 2020. By means of inclusion and exclusion criteria, a sample of 43 documents was obtained, of which 24 are scientific articles, 12 are undergraduate thesis and 7 normative documents. The analysis and methodological qualification of the scientific articles was carried out through the Critical Review Form- Quantitative Studies matrix, which consists of 19 items. It is concluded that the caregiver syndrome is a kind of unknown issue and associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder is further complicated, since caregivers, searching for answers and solutions for their children, they suffer from this syndrome without receiving the necessary attention, ignoring and deteriorating their own physical and mental health.
