Izvleček:The main objective of this study is to propose recycled didactic materials for the development of the area of relationship with the natural and cultural environment for children of the “San Felipe Neri”, State School in the Chimborazo province, Riobamba city. For which we intend to analyze the importance of the didactic material in the learning of children in the mentioned area, in addition to determine that the recycled didactic material can be used in the teaching process and to understand the needs of care and protection of the environment. It is a research with a qualitative approach, it describes different processes and observed realities, it is based on a non-experimental design and it is basic because it is called pure, theoretical or dogmatic research, it is based on a bibliographic research by selecting, organizing, analyzing and interpreting information from documentary sources such as: articles, web pages, magazines, books, among others. The population consists of thirty students of the “San Felipe Neri”, State School, Chimborazo province, Riobamba city. The sample is non-probabilistic an intentional because all the elements that integrate them are selected. The technique used was observation. The instrument used was the observation form, which allows the collection of the required information. Through the results identified, it is determined that the use of recycling materials as a didactic resource for the teaching-learning process, motivates and builds knowledge in the students through different activities, in addition to allowing them direct contact with the environment, providing them with practical outdoor activities and thus putting theory into practice.
