| Summary: | This research analyzes the production of intercultural content on Televisión Puruwa Channel 38, a community media outlet in Chimborazo. Using Laurence Bardin's content analysis methodology, the study evaluated the compliance of the programs "Rimanakuy" and "Dialogando con Elvis" with Ecuador's Organic Communication Law (LOC). The results demonstrate that Puruwa TV not only meets the legal requirements but also positions itself as a leader in producing bilingual content, promoting inclusion and intercultural dialogue. A content analysis based on Laurence Bardin's framework was employed. Analysis matrices were constructed using categories (sampling units), subcategories (recording units), and context units to code the content of the "Rimanakuy" and "Dialogando con Elvis" programs between January and June 2024. This rigorous process allowed for the identification of recurring themes, analysis of their frequency and intensity, and determination of their temporal order. Additionally, relationships were established between the content and the social, cultural, and political context in which it is produced, revealing a close link between Puruwa TV and community organizations, businesses, and social leaders. The study reveals a close relationship between the media outlet and the community, evidenced by the recurrence of local themes and the active participation of various social actors. This research contributes to the field of intercultural communication by demonstrating the potential of community media to strengthen social fabric and promote cultural diversity. |
