Shrnutí:The present research has been carried out in a bibliographical manner with the general objective: to determine the importance of the family environment by collecting information to improve the emotional development of 4-year-old children of Centro de Desarrollo Infantil "Benjamín Franklin" in the period 2021, subject of great relevance because the family environment plays a fundamental role in the emotional development of children. To carry out this work, theoretically, it was carried out with the independent variable "family environment" and the dependent variable "emotional development." From the methodological point of view, the research is essential, bibliographical, cross-sectional, with a non-experimental design. It worked with 12 children, and the techniques were: observation and survey, and the instruments were the observation sheet and survey questionnaire; it helped to collect information and performs the respective analysis in order to conclude that the family environment in the life of any child has a great relationship with emotional development, parents are the guide, necessary support, and the only people to help in their personal growth, resulting in children concentrating, giving their all in class and being able to have significant learning.
