| 要約: | The objective of this research was to determine the level of social skills in students of the Specialized Educational Unit for the Deaf in Chimborazo, to identify and describe activities in a reliable and valid way in order to further develop students for transformation or develop them in new areas. In this exploratory research, the social skills of students from 8th grade to 3rd year of high school with hearing disabilities have been investigated, to identify challenging social situations applied to 19 students from 8th grade to 3rd year of high school with hearing disabilities from the Specialized Educational Unit for the Deaf in Chimborazo, the Social Skills Scale (SHS) by the author Elena Gismero Gonzales from the Pontifical University Comillas (Madrid) was applied. The processing of the data obtained, statistical techniques were used, complemented with the preparation of tables and pie charts, in order to clearly visualize and represent the results obtained. The results of the present study show that social skills assessed at a given time have a statistically significant influence on student performance.
