| الملخص: | The present research aimed to propose the comic strip as a digital resource for learning about Ecuador's biodiversity—its flora, fauna, and endangered species—among students in the fifth semester of the Pedagogy of Experimental Sciences in Chemistry and Biology program. Three specific objectives were established: to identify the theoretical content related to digital comics and their impact on learning, to design an educational comic using the Canva platform, and to promote it as a didactic tool in the classroom. The methodology employed a quantitative, descriptive approach, developed in three phases: theoretical review, digital resource design, and pedagogical validation through socialization with students. Documentary analysis and observation of students’ reception of the resource were employed. The results showed that the use of digital comics facilitates the understanding of concepts related to biodiversity, increases student interest, and strengthens visual and conceptual memory. The comic "Rescuing My Ecuabiodiversity" was well received, enabling more meaningful engagement with the course content. The main conclusions highlight that digital comics are an innovative and effective didactic resource that contributes to the development of critical thinking and environmental awareness in the university setting, making their integration into the teacher training curriculum in Natural Sciences highly relevant. |
