| Sumari: | In a 5G radio access network (RAN) where a network slicing policy is implemented, load estimation in the random-access channel is critical to ensure efficient resource allocation and high quality of service for different types of traffic, such as Massive Machine Type Communications (mMTC), Enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB), and Ultra-Reliable Low Latency Communications (URLLC). In this research study, an algorithm is proposed to calculate the channel load. Moreover, a resource allocation policy is developed for network slicing applications, considering several segments with different traffic loads; the network performance is examined by considering the probability of successful access. The tests will be based on different scenarios considering the channel load and comparing the traditional network with the proposed policy network. Different scenarios are evaluated using a factor f to scale the traffic intensity and observe the network performance under different conditions. |
