description In August 2014, the Hospital General Docente of Riobamba implemented the Communicational Strategic Plan, in order to strengthen the management of the institution in the field of public health, through communicational actions to establish the credibility of this hospital. This project was implemented simultaneously with the creation of the Department of Press and Communication within the institution whose activity is focused on the regulation in the handling of the Hospital information so that it is delivered both the domestic and outsider client. What we seek through our research is to establish the degree of effectiveness of the implementation of the plan, as well as its results. From this perspective, the importance of a press department is clear within any organization. Therefore, by discovering the hospital left out this department, we consider it necessary to include it in the current study and further analysis of the results. It is planned to develop surveys related to the information provided by the Hospital to its clients regarding the image and whether it is linked to the health service performance, within its categorization. From this insight, it will be established whether the hospital public image is defined. Examples will be taken of this same hospital and others, in order to have a panorama for the work. the Hospital General Docente Strategic Plan, includes within its objectives, the implementation of an organizational culture and strengthen inside communication in the institution and one of the results that aims is the positioning as an organization that provides services of quality, warmth, efficient, effective in public health field as well as contributing to the development of the province. Thus, it has been included concepts inherent to this matter, addressed from the perspective of Aranes José, (2007), who talks about institutional communication and authors such as Mattelart-Armand, (1993), Díaz-Hernán, 2014 and others which introduce us more clearly to this communicational process within the field currently studied.

Este proyecto entró en ejecución concomitantemente la creación del Departamento de Comunicación, Imagen y Prensa de la institución cuya actividad se orienta a la regulación en el manejo de la información del Hospital para que se la entregue al público interno y externo. Lo que buscamos a través de nuestra investigación es determinar cuál es el grado de efectividad de la aplicación del plan, así como los resultados. Desde esta perspectiva está clara la importancia de un departamento de comunicación en una institución. Por tanto, al conocer, el Hospital prescindió de este departamento, consideramos es menester a este hecho, incluirlo en el presente estudio y análisis de los resultados. Está proyectado desarrollar encuestas sobre la satisfacción de los públicos en cuanto a la información que proporciona el Hospital con relación a la imagen y si está vinculada al rendimiento sanitario objetivo, dentro de su categorización. De aquí se establecerá si la imagen pública está o no definida. Se tomará ejemplos de este mismo centro hospitalario y de otros, a fin de tener un panorama para el trabajo. El Plan Estratégico del Hospital Provincial General Docente Riobamba, incluye dentro de sus objetivos la implementación de una cultura organizacional y fortalecer la comunicación interna en la institución y uno de los resultados que aspira es el posicionamiento como ente que brinde servicios de calidad, calidez, eficientes, efectivos en la salud pública y que contribuye para el desarrollo de la provincia.
