Lisää tagi | Yhteenveto: | RESUME Every person has the right to have economic and physical access to nutritious, balanced and healthy food, which is why this research has as its main objective to determine those factors of a home with food security problems within the urban parishes of the city of Riobamba. , having as theoretical foundation the contribution of Douglass North with his theory of Institutional Economics and Amartya Sen with his theory of development of human capabilities. The investigation was carried out with a population sample of 383 people distributed to the 5 urban parishes of the city through a conglomerate sampling, after obtaining the data, a Probit econometric model is applied in the statistical program Stata version 16, product of this econometric execution was obtained: that those factors that affect the food security of the city are the low level of education, poor working conditions and income are the negative factors of food security, while the variables that did not present significance in this study were the gender, age, and marital status of the respondent.
