The investigation was carried out with a population sample of 383 people distributed to the 5 urban parishes of the city through a conglomerate sampling, after obtaining the data, a Probit econometric model is applied in the statistical program Stata version 16, product of this econometric execution was obtained: that those factors that affect the food security of the city are the low level of education, poor working conditions and income are the negative factors of food security, while the variables that did not present significance in this study were the gender, age, and marital status of the respondent.
