Research results show a negative and significant relationship between variables, through the use of econometric techniques to identify structural constraints, Ecuador inflation threshold value was found to be 2%, suggesting that at higher inflationary values, the effect of inflation on economic growth is negative, while inflation rates below the breaking point could have positive effects. The research is divided into three chapters. Chapter I refers to the revision of economic literature, empirical evidence, the conceptualization of variables and their relationship. Chapter II demonstrates methodology, type, design, and research technique, as well as data collection tools. Chapter III corresponds to the results obtained, through the application of an econometric model that allowed to obtain the inflation threshold on which there is an adverse effect on economic growth. |

Los resultados de la investigación evidencian una relación negativa y significativa entre las variables, mediante la utilización de técnicas econométricas que permiten identificar quiebres estructurales, se encontró que el valor umbral de inflación para el Ecuador es del 2%, el cual sugiere que a valores inflacionarios superiores, el efecto de la inflación sobre el crecimiento económico es negativo, mientras que a tasas inflacionarias inferiores al punto de quiebre se podría tener efectos positivos. La investigación se encuentra dividida en tres capítulos. El Capítulo I hace referencia a la revisión de la literatura económica, la evidencia empírica, la conceptualización de las variables y su relación. El Capítulo II evidencia la metodología, el tipo, el diseño, y técnica de investigación, así como los instrumentos de recolección de datos.
