Summary:The Objective of this research is to determine the adolescent mothers’ assertive behavior and its effect on academic development at the Educational Unit “Isabel de Godín”. Assertive behaviors were identified and jointly analyzed whit academic performance. A relationship between the ages of 15 to 17 years. A non-experimental design was implemented as a research was transversal for its short time and the application of the instruments was only once. This investigation level is relational since it detailed some assertiveness characteristics and academic performance. In addition, it is a correlational research because the variables wear measured and related to each other. As a data collection technique, the Psychometric Test and the Evaluation were used, as well as the INAS-87 test, indicate that 90% are adolescent mothers who show great assertiveness behaviors, meanwhile 20% of the participant have features of non-assertiveness. In relation to the results of the evaluations, it is known that 65% of the study population achieves 25% about the learned content. This population is close to achieving learning and a minority group of 10% participants did not achieve the learning. It evidences a lack of relationship between investigated variables.
