Academic information was collected from different databases such as SciElo, Dialnet, PubMed, among others, and about 35 papers published worldwide in Spanish, Portuguese, and English were validated and included. The Physiotherapy Evidence Database (PEDro) scale was used as a methodological validation tool. The methodology used was descriptive design, inductive method, exploratory level, qualitative and retrospective approach. The postpartum, also called puerperium, is the period following childbirth, which usually develops 6 to 8 weeks after childbirth so that the maternal body returns to pregestational conditions, including hormones and the female reproductive system. There are several complications after normal childbirth; the most important are pelvic-abdominal muscle weakness, chronic low back pain, and cardiovascular diseases. hypopressive exercises are advantageous in regular postpartum patients since they help to reduce lumbar pain, postural recovery, and diastasis of the rectum, improve circulation and increase pelvic-abdominal musculature. The research concluded that hypopressive exercises are of great importance for those who gave birth, typically those who have pelvic weakness problems, since these exercises have been shown to have beneficial effects helping to improve the strength and functionality of each patient, thus improving the lifestyle and autonomy of each one of them.
