| Summary: | The present research work "Self-esteem in students with special educational needs of the "Juan de Velasco" Educational Unit, Riobamba, aims to determine the level of self-esteem in students with special educational needs; this research will be beneficial because selfesteem is One of the most fundamental factors in the personal, social, family and school development of young people is the basis of people's failure or success. It is research with a quantitative approach, non-experimental design, descriptive, comparative level or scope, based on basic objectives, field location, and time, and it is transversal. The sample was made up of 60 students with special educational needs (SEN), including those associated and not associated with a disability. The evaluation instrument that was applied to collect the data was the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, which consists of 10 items, 5 in a positive way and 5 in a negative way. To process the information, the Excel statistical program was used, which made it possible to show an adequate level of self-esteem despite the different needs that each student presents. |
