The large number of people in the Chauzan San Alfonso community are dedicated to agriculture, since it is a livelihood for families, they obtain economic income from the production of melloco and they can provide education to their children. The time it takes to produce the melloco is known, the amount of investment for production is known, through research the amount that each farmer produces is appreciated and even how many quintals are planted in a hectare, it is determined how much seed goes into a hectare and the costs in production. In the Chauzan San Alfonso community there are 60 producers dedicated to the production and marketing of melloco. On Thursdays there is the indigenous regional fair where the product is sold. Merchants from different provinces of the country come to this place. The problem of producers is that they do not have strategies to increase their profits by improving production and marketing. |
