| Gaia: | ABSTRACT: The research work focused on a literature review, which aims to demonstrate the effects of the respiratory muscles in professional soccer players, showing the results caused by respiratory muscle training, to improve the aerobic capacity of athletes. Without forgetting that respiratory training consists in having control of gas exchange, which allows the entry of oxygenated air and the expulsion of air with high CO2 content to the environment, determining that it plays an important role in the planning of athletes' training. In the collection of research studies conducted by different authors, 70 scientific articles were analyzed, which by means of the exclusion criteria and the evaluation of the PEDro scale selected 35 articles that were equal or greater than 6 according to that scale, the databases where the information found were in, Pubmed, Elsiever, PMC and Google Scholar, taking into account from the year 2013, which have been relevant to the proposed topic. At the conclusion of the research through the results and discussion, the authors tell us that several respiratory muscle (RM) training protocols generate optimal results, including training programs in order to improve aerobic capacity in sports performance, this thanks to the multidisciplinary team behind the clinical trials and the needs of athletes. |
