總結:This research work demonstrated the urban-architectural influence of the city of Riobamba generated by the arrival of the railroad. The study had a qualitative, exploratory and descriptive approach based on the investigation of secondary sources. The results showed noticeable changes over time in the progress of the city. In the same way, a deterioration was noted in its urban organization and in its acquisition and architectural progress, since the arrival of new materials and economic support was suspended or stopped, which caused the city to become inactive after the events that occurred after the abandonment of this urban transport. It was determined the facts that propitiated this development and the progress either positive or negative of the city of Riobamba since the beginning of this transport until nowadays. In this sense, a timeline was implemented to gather all this information in order to show a clear picture of how the progressive events had been generated to build a better idea of the urban trend. This influence has been a determining factor for the morphological organization of the city and allows us to observe the substantial transformation from 1799 to the present, where the change in land use due to its territorial expansion can be appreciated, as well as the landmarks in the city determined by its main parks; all of these modify the urban fabric and establish a change in urban mobility and therefore its urban-architectural influence.
