Sumari:The present research project was carried out at the “Technical University of Cotopaxi”, the objective of this study is to analyze gender violence in couple relationships in leveling students from the aforementioned institution. It is taken into consideration that this research is transcendental due to the importance of the emotional sphere in relation to violent behavior in this stage of psychosocial development. The type of research correspond to a bibliographic and field of trasversal approach design and reached the descriptive level. The sample is made up 218 male and female students aged from 17 and 24 years. For the data collection, a sociodemographic register and the questionnaire of dating violence (CUVINO) were used to assess levels of violence present in the couple´s relationship according to its typology. Among the most relevant results, gender violence is present in university students and is manifested in figures such as: psychological violence 73.39%, sexual violence 36.70%, physical violence 25.69% and finally instrumental violence 22.02%. According to the results obtained, a proposal for psycho-educational intervention was developed to raise awareness about gender violence and contribute to a better relational condition in the Leveling students in the Technical University of Cotopaxi.
