الملخص:Since colonization, there has been the marginalization of the indigenous sector for not being white and not speaking Spanish; the treatment that the indigenous industry has received is the result of a classification of citizens that started from the time of President Juan Jose Flores in 1843, not being recognized as citizens. Consequently, the indigenous have lived under underframes of discrimination due to their way of dressing, speaking, and expressing themselves; however, from the mobilizations of 1990 and 1994 driven by the philosophy of Monsignor Leonidas Proaño and the creation of Popular Radio Schools of Ecuador, ERPE the right to be treated as an Ecuadorian citizen was fulfilled. However, the use of Kichwa has been mutating the communities, schools, and media since it has been forced to resort to the use of Spanish. This research analyzes the use of Kichwa on the radio La Voz de Guamote Ayllukunapak Shimi 1500 am from the ethnography of speech proposed by Dell Hymes and the use of Kichwa from the perspective of Andrés Guerrero; since this medium is located in the province of Chimborazo canton Guamote, where the indigenous population is greater than the mixed population with 42,670 inhabitants, equivalent to 94.5% of the total population INEC (2010) this research is based on the use of qualitative methodology, through the techniques of observation and indepth interviews with those who work in the media, experts, and listeners. Fourteen recordings of seven media radio programs were analyzed to expose the use of Kichwa.
