| Sumari: | The objective of this research work was to develop the scientific publications registration system of the National University of Chimborazo, where the Double Diamond methodology was used, which provides improvements in the communication between the server and the client; this methodology has an iterative design approach that encourages innovation and the resolution of complex problems. In the discovery stage, a thorough investigation of the specific needs and issues of the university's scientific publication registration process was carried out. This included consultation with experts in the field, review of existing literature, and data collection. As a result, essential areas requiring improvement were discovered, such as the need for a centralized system, difficulties in tracking and evaluating publications, and the lack of analysis tools. End users, such as researchers and university administrative staff, were involved in the design process and the definition stage. To better understand their needs and expectations, brainstorming sessions and interviews were conducted. The objectives of the scientific publication registration system were established based on this information. These included the creation of an accessible and user-friendly platform that would foster transparency and visibility of research. Several methods for recording scientific publications were designed and prototyped during development. To ensure an optimal user experience, user-centered design and usability principles were applied. In addition, state-of-the-art technology was used to build a scalable and robust system that could provide advanced analysis tools and handle large volumes of data. |
