要約:The aim of this research was to evaluate the relationship between cognitive flexibility in the development of students' linguistic intelligence at "General Lavalle" Educational Unit, understanding that cognitive flexibility is considered an essential part of intelligence development, because it allows the learning of new knowledge, as well as to give answers to different situations. Linguistic intelligence allows people to communicate and express themselves clearly. Methodologically, it had a quantitative approach, with a nonexperimental design, with a field type, bibliographic and transversal type, with a descriptive and correlational level. The population was determined by the students from "General Lavalle" Educational Unit, its sampling was not probabilistic and intentional, it worked with Seventh grade students, class “A” and “B”. The techniques used were the psychometric tests, the Stroop Test instruments, where it was evidenced that 86% have a moderate level, the Wisc IV Test, evidencing that 42% have a high level. By means of the SPSS program, it was possible to know the existence with a Pearson correlation of 0.284. We conclude by establishing the existence of the relationship between cognitive flexibility and the development of linguistic intelligence, understanding that cognitive flexibility is considered as a key to intelligence, as a mental gear which allows thinking several ideas at the same time, the ability to process new information such as vocabulary, text comprehension, among others.
