This researchwas to identifythe concernsof women duringthepostpartum periodin thegynecologyserviceProvincialGeneral TeachingHospitalofRiobamba. We worked witha sampleof 234postpartum women. The informationobtained throughthesurveys ofwomen instudy.The results obtained withrespect tosociodemographicconditions, show that: it is young women, marriedor cohabitingwithacademic instructionbetweensecondary and higher.Asobstetric characteristics, studywomenusually have threeor more children,with respect to thetype of deliverybycesarean sectionthere was a percentageof 21%. The occurrenceof multiple birthsis minimal, with reference tohealth problems,one-third ofthemhadperinealinjury, pelvic andbreast problems.
