| Zusammenfassung: | ABSTRACT: This research aims at evaluating the application of the Disciplinary Regime as outlined by the Organic Code of Citizen Security and Public Order (COESCOP) in the actions of civil transit agents of the GAD Municipal of the Canton Riobamba, Ecuador. Employing a qualitative approach and juridical-analytical methods, adherence to due process in case of transgressions was explored. Findings, derived from surveys of 20 agents and public servants, unveil a reasonable understanding regarding the regime and legislation, albeit highlighting the need to align disciplinary procedures with the fundamental principles of due process. It's inferred that despite the general favorable perception concerning the regime's effectiveness, it's vital to ensure transparency, impartiality, and respect for the accused's rights at every stage of the disciplinary process. The implementation of continuous training programs for agents is suggested, along with the establishment of a review and supervision system for disciplinary procedures, aiming to strengthen public trust and prevent rights infringements. This study contributes to a richer understanding of administrative justice in the realm of traffic regulation, proposing guidelines for future improvements in the training and performance of civil transit agents. |
