| Riassunto: | This research aimed to diagnose the socio-educational development and life project of elementary and primary education students of the Sicalpa Educational Unit during the 2022-2023 school year. The Colta Canton has high school dropout rates since a considerable percentage of students in higher primary education abandon their studies to enter the ranks of premature labor. With a quantitative approach, a descriptive level, a non-experimental design, and a field and bibliographic study. The population comprised 50 elementary school students in the second, third, and fourth grades. The survey was used as a technique, and the structured questionnaire was used as an instrument. Among the results, it stands out that in second grade, there are high percentages in terms of resilience, and in the other grades, they self-identify as brave; however, resilience decreases until fourth grade. As for the depressed indexes, assertive communication and the search for emotional support are found. Regarding the life project, the figures indicate that the students of elementary and primary education in their first stage aspire to a professional level, but as time goes by, this possibility declines profoundly, in contrast with the option of working or undertaking that increases considerably; however, the most worrying figure is that that a group of students express having problems in their studies so they do not know what will happen to them in their future. |
