Summary:ABSTRACT: The research project was a bibliographic compilation with the objective of investigating the effects of the Godoy Method in patients with lymphedema from the year 2012 of scientific articles, magazines, clinical cases, books, using various databases such as: PubMed, Scielo, Elsevier, Redalyc.org, Scopus, academic Google and virtual libraries, which through a meticulous selection, relevant topics were investigated, evidencing the benefits of the rehabilitation protocol, for the inclusion of the bibliography, the PEDro scale was used. which the score had to be 6 points or more, being mostly studies in the original English language and others in Spanish or Portuguese, obtaining 35 scientific articles that were used in the bibliographical research. Based on the articles obtained, it can be evidenced that lymphedema has an intensive treatment protocol that helps the patient to have greater possibilities of reintegrating into their psychosocial environment, this process has a notable improvement, with an adequate treatment applying these techniques such as: therapy manual lymphatic, cervical stimulation, mechanical therapy, myolymphokinetic therapy, compression of grosgrain stockings, recommending skin care to the patient to avoid dangerous infections such as erysipelas, erythema, edema and lack of joint mobility.
