This research sought to establish the study habits related to the conditions of the environment, the use of materials, planning, and how the content is assimilated, in the students of 1st and 7th semesters of the Psychopedagogy degree program at the National University of Chimborazo. The methodology of this research consisted of a descriptive, basic, field, and bibliographic scope. For the variable of study habits, the Study Habits Inventory (SHI) was used, which was applied to a sample of 62 students from the first and seventh semesters of the Psychopedagogy program at UNACH during the 2023-1S period. The analysis using the IHE instrument showed different results in each of its dimensions. In the dimension of environmental conditions, the students have a normal and unsatisfactory scale within the planning and content assimilation. Among the conclusions, it can be mentioned that the study habits, based on the environmental dimensions, use of materials, planning, and content assimilation, are at low averages in the first semester, while in the seventh semester, they are at a normal average, considering that students at higher academic levels better assimilate the content through planning. Therefore, it is recommended to implement techniques that contribute to establishing study habits from the first academic level. |
