| 總結: | This research exposes the socioeconomic and geographic changes produced in Pelileo as a result of the earthquake of August 5, 1949, which caused great destruction and negative socioeconomic impact on its inhabitants. In this context, the first chapter presents the reference framework that analyzes the historical facts related to this topic, through the fulfillment of the first specific objective, the trends in the change of geomorphological factors that occurred in the study area before and after the disaster have been determined, followed by a historical analysis of documentary type that frames the geographic changes that the inhabitants of this area had to face. Likewise, a compilation and analysis of secondary information was carried out to determine the influence of the socioeconomic changes on the development of this town; thus, among the results obtained, the greatest socioeconomic change identified was the substitution of primary activities for secondary activities (creation of companies). On the other hand, the geographic changes caused by the earthquake (Patate River changed its flow) led the population to resettle in what is now known as Pelileo Nuevo. Finally, it is important to highlight the importance of this study in terms of the generation of a historical memory that allows the population to know the process of development and change that has taken place over the years in Pelileo. |
