Propuesta urbano-arquitectónica en barrios construidos en zonas de riesgo, caso de estudio barrio La Florida III, Riobamba

This research paper proposes a way of intervention in the urban edge of the city, specifically addressing the problem that exists in the neighborhood La Florida III since it is in a risk area. To this end, first of all, a search is carried out to obtain sufficient support to develop the research project; in this way, urban and architectural references are analyzed to help in the decisions that will be taken for the resolution of the project. Consequently, through fieldwork, the diagnosis of the site is made at different scales, where the main characteristics of the neighborhood and its immediate environment are identified. Based on urban reading and different determinants, a general proposal is established (mass plan) where the edge is considered an active and dynamic space of great importance for the transition between urban and rural. Subsequently, an intervention is proposed at the level of the study district (fragment), providing it with equipment, green areas, public spaces, and other complementary spaces that contribute to their urban development; finally, the architecture is projected as a solution of the houses that are at risk. That is, being an urban-architecture proposal seeks the total integration of the project with its artificial context (city) and natural (field).
