| Sumari: | ABSTRACthe variables of the parenting styles and resilience, knowing that the way in which parents educate their children is essential for the development of positive characteristics in the human being, the objective of the present was to analyze the parenting styles and resilience in students of the Carlos Cisneros Higher Technological Institute, Riobamba 2022. Methodologically, the study was of a quantitative approach, correlational, cross-sectional level and documentary type, the population consisted of 151 clinical records of the students of the Carlos Cisneros Higher Technological Institute. As results, the prevalence of authoritative parenting styles was identified with 79.5% for maternal and 75.5% for paternal, in terms of resilience, the high level stands out with 52.3% and there is a correlation between the variables with a value .047* for paternal styles and .076* for maternal. In conclusion, the students were educated through the establishment of norms and rules in a democratic way under an authoritative style, they present high levels of resilience which shows their ability to face adversity situations, the presence of a relationship between the study variables strengthens other studies and the direct relationship between adequate upbringing and the development of positive characteristics is identified.
