Analysis' process was applied to understand which variable best explains the behavior of the data studied. Although there is a correlation between competitiveness and productivity in industry, no correlation has been identified between corruption and the two mentioned variables at the country level. Knowing these correlations can help explain why a country's infrastructure is deficient. This research shows a solid and direct positive correlation between corruption and infrastructure competitiveness. There was no significant correlation between illegality and productivity as a contribution to GDP and infrastructure competitiveness with productivity as a contribution to GDP. In Ecuador, a local application showed similar outcomes, obtaining a robust positive correlation between corruption and infrastructure competitiveness. Through the analysis of principal components, it was observed that the main component PC1 is represented by the corruption and infrastructure competitiveness variables, which have a significant influence on the data studied, highlighting the corruption variable, but in the principal component PC2, it was observed that it is represented by the productivity variable, which indicates that the PC1 component would help us to have a better understanding of the behavior of the data analyzed. The primary component analysis using the PC1 component proposes an equation that helps determine the state of a country related to the construction. When applied, it gets results to fit the reality of the countries under study. |

When applied, it gets results to fit the reality of the countries under study.El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo determinar la correlación existente entre la corrupción país, la competitividad por infraestructura y la productividad como aporte al PIB de la industria de la construcción. Mediante un enfoque cuantitativo se recogieron, compilaron y analizaron datos numéricos, los cuales después de ser procesados se analizaron mediante el método de Spearman para establecer la correlación existente entre estas variables. Además, se aplicó un análisis de componentes principales con el fin de entender cuál de las variables explica mejor el comportamiento de los datos estudiados. Sabiendo de la existencia de una correlación entre la competitividad y la productividad en la industria, no se ha identificado una correlación entre la corrupción y las dos variables señaladas con anterioridad a nivel país, el conocer estas correlaciones puede ayudar a explicar el porqué de las deficiencias de la infraestructura de un país. El resultado de la investigación muestra que existe una fuerte correlación positiva directa entre la corrupción y la competitividad por infraestructura, mientras que, entre la corrupción y productividad como aporte al PIB y la competitividad por infraestructura con la productividad como aporte al PIB, no se presentó una correlación destacable. Una aplicación local en Ecuador permitió observar un comportamiento similar en los resultados, obteniendo una fuerte correlación positiva entre la corrupción y la competitividad por infraestructura. Mediante el análisis de componentes principales, se pudo observar que la componente principal PC1 está representada por las variables de corrupción y competitividad por infraestructura, mismas que tienen un mayor peso en los datos estudiados destacando a la variable corrupción, mientras que en la componente principal PC2, se observó que está representada por la variable productividad, esto nos señala que la componente PC1 nos ayudaría a entender mejor el comportamiento de los datos analizados.
