Samenvatting: | The research proposes the standardization of the production process of road safety education books in the SME Editext by applying process management and starting from the need to control the variability of the factors that intervene both in the production process as well as in the road safety education books, which influence the decrease in quality and productivity in the organization since there is practically no documented information, structured guides, and adequate leadership to support it, as one of the leading causes of the problem, and which consequently does not allow precise control of this production process. To control the variability of the production process of road safety education books, the key problems in the production process were defined by collecting information to determine the current situation. Then, the levels of standardization were determined by evaluation criteria based on ISO 9001:2015, with a standardization level corresponding to 6%, which subsequently increased to 57.40%. Subsequently, an evaluation of the application of process management tools in the organization was carried out by comparing them with production standards, which consisted of determining the client's requirements through the quality house, the characteristics of the digital editorial layout of the book, and the study of times with a standard production time of 30.14 hours for 500 books and productivity of 16.59 books/hour. Finally, a proposal was designed to implement a standardized production process for road safety education books, using process management tools to provide a practical approach adapted to the organization. Therefore, the product and process were improved with a process approach; quality standards were consolidated through documented information that allows measuring, controlling, and improving the activities related to the production process in the organization, and a clear procedure that guarantees operability to reduce variability and satisfy customer nee |
