| Samenvatting: | The main objective of this research project was to apply the polychrome technique on bovine skulls as an artistic methodology for fourth-semester students of the Pedagogy of Arts and Humanities career at the National University of Chimborazo. The research is based on a bibliographic review of the history and techniques of polychrome plating, which allowed the identification of those methodologies that could be adapted to the process of polychrome plating on bones. The methodology used is based on a quantitative approach, using a ten-question survey applied to 25 students selected through a non-probabilistic convenience sampling. The results revealed that this methodology is viable for implementation in the academic field, positioning it as an innovative technique for artistic teaching. In conclusion, a didactic proposal was developed and organized into 5 units focused on Materials, preparation, and whitening of bone, polychrome, consolidation, and dissemination of this didactic guide necessary for the creation of artistic pieces using this methodology. The proposed pedagogical approach sought to encourage artistic experimentation and ensure the durability and permanence of the works created using these techniques since the main challenge of this artistic methodology lay in working with unconventional painting supports. |
