| Summary: | In the following study, a cross-sectional and mixed descriptive research is aimed at determining the sociodemographic and clinical characteristics of Nursing staff working in the IESS Riobamba Hospital, for the period October 2018 to February 2019. Eighty-seven nurses formed the sample, two surveys were applied. The first one characterizes the sociodemographic and clinical aspects. The second one was focused on 36 nursing professionals through an instrument labeled "Quality of Life and Satisfaction Scale on Health Professionals" (ECVS-PS), who showed a health disorder. It was possible to identify that most of the sample is female gender at 96.5%. Among the identified health disorders are hypothyroidism, gastritis, herniated disc, diabetes mellitus type II and overweight. On the analysis of risk factors is showed that 68.9% consumes coffee and there is a large part of the population that performs physical activity. On to the basic dimensions of the quality of life- related to the affections that the professionals suffer, it was identified that a high percentage has any labor or social limitations and most of the professionals are satisfied with their work and professional life. |
