| 總結: | The main objective of this research study was to determine the importance of natriuretic peptides in the monitoring and early diagnosis of heart failure. Heart failure is becoming a true epidemic of the 21st century and its prevalence is rapidly increasing. It is characterized by structural and functional symptoms and signs at the cardiac level, causing a decrease in cardiac output and an increase in intracardiac pressure at rest and during exercise, a devastating disease that has a major impact on people's quality of life as a common disease. It was a descriptive, documentary design, non-experimental, qualitative, observational, cross-sectional study; the database of PubMed, Elsevier, Scielo, Medline, documents, etc. published in the last 5 years was used, obtaining a total of 42 works, under guidelines and eligibility criteria. As a result, information on the importance of natriuretic peptides in the diagnosis of heart failure, the prevalence of this clinical entity, biomarker values, and pathophysiology was updated. It is concluded that NPs are of great clinical importance in early diagnosis, prognosis, and follow-up in HF, its prevalence worldwide is increasing and nationally it is the fourth cause of death of cardiovascular origin which is why the use of these biomarkers as a routine test in HF is suggested to decrease mortality rates |
