Summary:The lack of knowledge about new sources of inspiration causes designers to limit their interest in innovation. Therefore, this research addresses an uncommon topic: explicitly decoding the com- positional forms of insects—beetles—for the application in innovative textile textures for sleepwear by the company Elan. The company's current designs have been limited to global and repetitive trends, losing the originality and exclusivity of its garments. Through the Design Thin- king methodology, a structured process was carried out, starting with the identification of the target market segment. This was followed by the selection, identification, and decoding of beetle morphological patterns, culminating in the development of samples applied to various sleepwear garments. As a result, 12 texture proposals were developed and applied to 4 different sleepwear prototypes each, all aligned with Elan's quality standards. The company's owner validated the final designs, receiving ratings ranging from adequate to excellent. This confirms their viability for commercia- lization in line with the preferences of the target audience: women aged 25 to 65
