Propuesta arquitectónica de una escuela técnica para procesos de tinturado denim en la ciudad de Pelileo, Provincia de Tungurahua

The main purpose of this thesis project is to design an educational model that allows professionals and the community of Pelileo, Ecuador to acquire skills to carry out jeans dyeing processes efficiently and in an environmentally friendly manner. Therefore, the educational model seeks the adoption of modern techniques and technologies that minimize the consumption of water, energy, and toxic chemicals during the dyeing process. It also focuses on the responsible management of generated waste. It also aims to identify specific aspects of the local textile industry that require improvements in terms of infrastructure and technology. In addition, the implementation of this educational model would have a positive impact on the local economy of Pelileo, while reducing the negative effects of the industry on the environment. Likewise, it is expected to contribute to the positioning of Pelileo as an innovative and ecologically responsible textile cluster. For this reason, the design of the model will be carried out by applying comprehensive sustainability criteria and in a context adapted to the urban, natural, and productive environment of the area. This project is a pertinent solution to the local environmental problems while an opportunity to boost Pelileo’s jeans industry towards more sustainable practices.
