Citología Cervical como indicador de Cáncer. Hospital Provincial Docente Ambato. Septiembre 2017 – Septiembre 2018

According to medical reports form SOLCA and HPDA in Ambato – Tungurahua 2012 to 2018, there has been cancer in situ (initial). 38 cases, 58 cases with cervix cancer, and uterus body cancer with 2 cases. This research carries out an evaluation of all women´s Pap tests who received medical assistance at the “Hospital Provincial Docente Ambato” from September 2017 to September 2018. Consequently, some clinical records or cytological reports were reviewed. This research was a mixed approach, with a methodological design under a non-experimental-transversal, descriptive and correlational type. Papanicolaou exams were the objects of the study. It included a sample size of 618 histories positive clinics. The exam results obtained displayed that the vast majority of patients, 59%, with positive cytology had begun their sexual relationship between 12 and 16 years. Most of them are in an age range from 12 to 45 years. Actually, they showed microorganisms associated. It means 122 cases. Additionally, 22.3% patients came form 18D02 Division. April, May and June reached a high percentage of prevalence about 33.1%, including ASCUS 66.7%. 1.6% out of the 618 women with were detected cancer based on the laboratory findings; that is to say, 10 women had developed the disease. On the other hand, 80.0% of women, who had cancer, had initiated sexual relationship when they were 17 years old.
